Start surfing in CS Surf
Learn the project’s controls and the first movement cue before chasing a clean run.
Start in freeplay
The linked surfd.net project provides a browser surf environment with practice features. Open its own menu and choose a map suited to practice. This directory links the project; it does not operate its servers or leaderboards.
Know the controls
The project documents WASD movement, Space or mouse-wheel jump, Shift duck, R restart, mouse look and Esc menu. Check the current bindings on the project page before changing them.
Let the ramp carry you
The project’s guidance says to release W on the ramp, strafe toward the ramp face and steer gently with the mouse. Practise the motion on one section before attempting an entire route.
Keep practice focused
Restart to repeat the same transition rather than changing maps immediately. A failed run can be useful feedback about entry angle and mouse movement. Use the project’s practice options where available.
